About Rigmus

The Story

RIGMUS is a young company, which was founded in 2021 by Zsolt Asztalos, professional drummer & percussionist and drums & percussion teacher.

During his musical career, Zsolt faced the biggest dilemma of romanian musicians: the lack of good drumshops (or musical instrument shops). There is just a few real musical instrument shops in the whole country. And they are mostly located in the capital
(Bucharest) or the major, bigger cities like Cluj, Timisoara, Iasi, Brasov.

He ordered most of his instruments from various webshops. On many occasions the received instrument was different then the ordered instrument, there was long delays in shipping or the received instrument was a used instrument instead of a new one. There was also cases when the received instrument was broken.

The Beginnings

During the pandemic in 2020, Zsolt remembered “the good ole days” and recalled how in the ’90-s ( when internet and purchasing musical instruments from a webshop was not available ) he bought many instruments, including his first percussion instruments from drumshops in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Hungary.

Without doubt, purchasing musical instruments from a webshop has many advantages or pro arguments, but it can not provide the customer that feeling, when he can play and feel that instrument and after purchasing it, he can take that instrument home, on that same day.

Our Vision

RIGMUS Company would like to fill that gap, that hiatus. Our goal is to make a bridge between “old school” music shops and the new or present day webshops. Our philosophy is to offer good musical instruments at a good, competitive price.
